District Offices and Post Offices to collect donations for earthquake relief

The Home Affairs Department has put in place a mechanism to channel donations from Hong Kong citizens to the victims of the earthquake in the mainland.
Starting from tomorrow (May 14) afternoon, 20
Public Enquiries Services Centres of the 18 District Offices and
Post Offices (except the mobile post offices) will start to collect donations from citizens during office hours.
Citizens are encouraged to make their donations
by cheques. They should be made payable to "
The Secretary for Home Affairs Incorporated - Donations". A receipt will be issued.
Cash donations may be paid at
HSBC into account number "
502-256803-001".
All donations will be passed to five relief organisations namely
Hong Kong Red Cross, World Vision Hong Kong, Oxfam Hong Kong, United Nations Children's Fund, and The Salvation Army for emergency relief operations related to the Sichuan earthquake.

民政事務總署已設立了一個渠道,讓香港市民能透過捐款,幫助受地震影響的內地災民。
由明日(五月十四日)下午起辦公時間內,十八區
民政事務處的二十個公眾諮詢中心及各區
郵局(流動郵局除外), 將收集市民捐款。
市民請
盡量以支票方式捐款,支票抬頭須寫上
「香港特別行政區政府」。捐款人士將可獲發收據。
市民亦可將現金捐款交入
香港上海豐銀行戶口「502-256803-001」。
籌得善款將交予
紅十字會、香港世界宣明會、樂施會、聯合國兒童基金會及救世軍五個國際救援組織,在受影響地區進行賑災工作。
