International Human Rights Day Carnival 2008

"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights."
Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

60 years ago, the United Nations adopted and proclaimed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, declaring to the world the recognition of human rights in individuals.

On 7 December 2008, the International Human Rights Day Carnival, over 40 organizations that are concerning with local and international human rights issues would co-organize the event in urging the public to give more thoughts into how basic human rights could become a reality. The event includes games, exhibition, performances and dance.

Venue: Sai Yeung Choi Street South, Mongkok pedestrian zone (between Shan Tung Street and Soy Street)
